How Bare is Bare Enough on a Nude Beach?

A few friends and I are taking a trip to Miami this summer and we plan on making a stop at Haulover Beach. I wasn’t aware of it until we planned this trip, but Haulover Beach is a hot spot for nudists and I think I might want to give it a try. I’m not sure yet, but I do want to be prepared if I decide to go nude.
Is it okay to go natural down there at nudist beaches or is it expected that I trim down or shave? I am willing to try it with my girls but I want to be as confident as possible since nudist beaches are unlike anything I have ever tried before. Do you have any advice?

Congratulations on your very first nude beach trip! Nudist beaches can be a lot of fun, but no matter who you are, the first time is usually a bit rough. Having a pretty good sense of confidence and self-assurance will help you get over your fear much faster, you are right about that!

To be honest, there really is no rule when it comes to nudist beaches. They are often called naturist beaches, so going completely natural is certainly an acceptable option. You will likely find people of many ages, races, genders and hair styles there. At the same time, you want to feel as secure as possible when you first get ready to shed your clothes and nothing can give a lady confidence quite like a nicely trimmed southern area.
If you are not one that is normally prone to doing a whole lot of pubic hair reconstruction, you can do something pretty simple. Trimming down to a nice short length or trimming around the edges can make a huge difference visually. You might be surprised just how much difference a small change can make. To achieve this, have a good shaving gel or cream on hand that will give your skin some moisture and give you a close, clean shave. Stubble is not something that anybody wants to look at or feel, so investing in a good razor and cream is important.
If you want something a little more interesting, consider using one of our shaving templates. This is a great way to do something really interesting with your pubic hair, something that makes an extra emphasis when at a nudist beach. While many people may not look directly at you due to their own discomfort, those who do will likely be delighted with the extra effort you went to. If you do this, though, don’t be surprised when you get a few looks!
All in all, there is no rule when it comes to whether or not you should shape up for an appearance at a nudist beach. Do whatever makes you comfortable, and if you are comfortable with going completely hairless down there, just get the best shave you possibly can.
